Just wondering if there is anyone else out there trying to convert from using an RT/AOS yellowpages server to a Sun server (SunOS 4.1.1b). I seem to be having some problems on that score. The Suns (on the same DELNI as the RTs) are happy to use NIS but the RTs can't seem to use the same server; they are happy using another RT for the server. The RT domain is "stat", the Sun domain is "YP.biostat" (for historical reasons). The "stat" domain includes only passwd and group, the "YP.biostat" domain is a superset of that. My AIX/R6000 also seems unhappy with "YP.biostat". I'd be delighted to hear from someone doing this even if their answer is something like: "We haven't had any problems at all." -dave fetrow- fetrow@biostat.washington.edu (internet) Actually, unix is a very user-friendly system. Its just that it is particular about which users it chooses to be friendly with. -The Oracle
