I want my RT to display images through an IBM Professional Graphics Adapter (PGA) card. Okay, now that you're finished laughing, maybe you can help me to see how TRULY impossible this is. Or maybe, just maybe, you could tell me how I can do it. I'd like to get one of our RTs (all IBM RT model 6150, running AIX version 2.2 or 2.2.1) to use a PGA card we have lying around. See, all we have are the monochrome 6155 monitors, and we'd really like to be able to display images with some sort of grayscale, so if we COULD use the PGA and its monitor, we'd be happy. And if pigs had wings, they'd fly. But seriously, I've looked in man pages and several manuals, and the only piece of information I can find that looks even vaguely appropriate is the man entry for "bus", which states that I can open up the hardware bus and talk to it directly. Unfortunately, although it tells me how to find the bus io base address, and the bus memory base address, I can't figure out what sort of offsets I should use to talk to a card plugged into slot 3 (or slot 4, or whatever). I get the feeling that I'm not going about this the right way... Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
