I just installed AOS on an RT, and when it boots up, the message: KEYBDLOCK is on the last line of the console throughout boot up. So, when the log on prompt appears, I can't log on since the keyboard is locked up. Can anyone tell me how to unlock the keyboard?? Thanks, Gary

I just add the following line near the end of /etc/rc to avoid this foolishness. /usr/ibm/kbdlock off Alternatively, you can use the key to lock the case and then unlock it. -- Tim Theisen Systems Programmer Internet: tim@cs.wisc.edu Department of Computer Sciences UUCP: uwvax!tim University of Wisconsin-Madison Phone: (608)262-0438 1210 West Dayton Street FAX: (608)262-9777 Madison, WI 53706

This zeroes the NVRAM, which is where the secure keyboard bit is located. A zeroed NVRAM is harmless to AOS if you want normal default things to happen. rayan CA*net
