Does anyone have (or is anyone working on) a driver for the Proteon pronet-4 token ring interface? I would be happy with any derivative of the MIT PC-IP package or NCSA telnet. James A. Jokl jaj@virginia.EDU

FTP Software sells a ProNET-4 versions of PC/TCP; works on either the Proteon p1340 or p1344. You ought to be able to buy it from Proteon too, I think. PC/TCP is our version of PC/IP; when I left MIT to work on this stuff commercially we renamed it to avoid confusion. We can be reached at: FTP Software, Inc. We sell code for this interface, as does Proteon. I don't know of any public-domain drivers for it. It is not a particularly simple card to run. An alternative is to use their TOKREUI emulation, if you have something that calls that interface. James B. VanBokkelen FTP Software Inc.

James, Proteon is working on the driver for the ProNET-4 for the FTP package. I expect this driver would be a good starting place for the MIT software. Perhaps jbvb can answer if this is the case. -Al Marshall, Proteon -------
