I am running here the MIT Pc/IP peckage. I try the NETWATC program both
on 3COM/3c501 card and on an Interlan/Micom card. Then I encountered the
following problem:
When using the 3com card I get a lot of garbaled packets. In some of them
I can recognise the original address which was shifted a few bits to the left.
However, on the Micom card I haven't seen even one such garbaled packet.
Does the 3com card is deffective or simply the Micom card throws away
such deffective packets?
Thanks, __Yehavi:

Under heavy load, the 3C501 is fairly likely to trash a few packets. One characteristic problem is getting lots of 0-length packets, another is the skewed problem you report, etc. The NI5010 has a few problems of its own, but I've never seen it trash packets. jbvb
