I am running here the MIT Pc/IP peckage. I try the NETWATC program both on 3COM/3c501 card and on an Interlan/Micom card. Then I encountered the following problem: When using the 3com card I get a lot of garbaled packets. In some of them I can recognise the original address which was shifted a few bits to the left. However, on the Micom card I haven't seen even one such garbaled packet. Does the 3com card is deffective or simply the Micom card throws away such deffective packets? Under heavy load, the 3C501 is fairly likely to trash a few packets. One characteristic problem is getting lots of 0-length packets, another is the skewed problem you report, etc. The NI5010 has a few problems of its own, but I've never seen it trash packets. jbvb
