Our address in the current Vendor's Guide ought to work, but this has a couple of minor improvements: FTP Software Inc. P.O. Box 150 Kendall Sq. Branch P.O. Boston, MA 02142 Phone: (617) 868-4878 Telex: 981970 We are physically in Cambridge, as is Kendall Sq., but the USPS says to call it "Boston". Who are we to argue... We have John Romkey's code here at Maryland in source form, and enhanced under the IBM contract. This is probably better than you can get from FTP software, and at a surely lower price...Glenn

Since the only details I've seen on what your package contains/does refer to the version that Yorktown productized, I can only say that ours has more hardware drivers, and more programs than IBM's. The only one they have that we don't is POP. jbvb

Now how much would you pay? :-) Seriously, FTP Software has a number of source customers. We're not at all averse to selling source. I'm not sure that the enhancements under the IBM contract are better than you can get from FTP, though. - john romkey -------

The previous message was intended to be a private response to Balenson... .... sorry for the inadvertent broadcast. The claim of "probably better" had to do with a particular application and should not be taken as a blanket opinion (or even my opinion in your particular circumstances). .... Glenn
