Thanks for the info re voice over Ethernet, the reason I was interested was that I was thinking about the possibility of connecting an Ethernet LAN to ISDN. <* just thinking *> On a different note, does anyone know any authoritative books, articles... about NetBIOS? Besides IBM's Technical Reference that costs $300 where I live. I am starting to write an interface to an already written application and a Network using TurboPascal and NetBIOS. The network is ISDN (Basic Rate) (Bell Canada's ISDN trial in Ottawa). We want to extract the calling line id from the D-channel so that the application can find the callers name and insert it in an electronic message. The secretary then only has to type in the message. The NetBIOS specification that I have for the PC-Terminal Adaptor we have is not quite good enough. Sorry, the IBM Tech Ref is more-or-less by definition "authorative". It is the reference of either choice or necessity for everyone I've encountered who works on NETBIOS, and if you can't find the info there, get out the disassembler and start learning the PC LAN Program the hard way... jbvb
