[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] help requested

chuck@cgdra.ucar.edu (Chuck D'Ambra) (04/02/88)

If anyone out there has successfully established a tcp/ip interface
with a Leading Edge brand PC, please let me know what the trick is.

     We have a Model M XT clone running MS-DOS 3.1 with a 3-COM board (I've
tried both the Etherlink and Etherlink Plus) and FTP software. Anything
other than ping or iprint crashes the machine (I/O RAM ERROR). I've tried
interrupts 3, 5 and 2. As we've had no trouble getting the same interface
to run flawlessly on "real" IBMs, I'm sure the installation is being done
correctly.

Any help would be sincerely appreciated.
