Given the number of regular requests by new comers for information on public domain TCP/IP implementations to this list, which tend to get a bit annoying after a while (seeing the same queries over and over), I think it would be a good idea if someone were to go over the archives and prepare an objective moderated summary of all the postings about the various PC/IP packages. This could be sent out as a sort of form- letter reply. The advantages are that no one would have to waste their time answering such questions (repeatedly), and that it would bring new comers up the learning curve faster. If Hank's PC/IP score card is ready, that might make a good starting place, along with an explanation of what the various columns mean, and perhaps a brief genealogy. -Philip
