[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] EXCELAN Support for SLIP?

ron@vsedev.VSE.COM (Ron Flax) (04/26/88)

Does anyone know if EXCELAN has plans to implement SLIP in the near
future for their PC/AT Xenix products? Or does anyone know of an other
vendor that already supports SLIP under PC/AT Xenix?

I would consider it pretty unlikely that Excelan would ever implement SLIP
for Xenix. This is because their TCP/IP currently resides on their EXOS205
card, and to use it for SLIP (or any other interface) would require moving
it off the card and into the Xenix as either a daemon or a kernel process.
