I've been presented with a good offer (pricewise) to purchase a USR Password
Modem but would like to find out a few things from those of you who have used
the modem (preferably with IBM-PC/compatibles):

1) It comes with a Modem-computer cable - Is that an RS232 cable that hooks up
to an IBM *standard* asynch port?

2) What communications software (IBM compatible) is available for the modem?

3) They advertise a 2 year warranty - anyone had to use it?
i.e. is the product and their customer support any good?

4) The design has no front panel of LED indicators for things like Sending,
Receiving, Ready, Connect ..... Are those pretty red lights really helpful
or can I do without them?

If anyone else has the same questions, mail me and I'll forward a summary of
the responses that I receive.

Yesterday I was a dog. Today I'm a dog. Tomorrow I'll probably still
be a dog. Sigh! There's so little hope for advancement.
