I would appreciate any suggestions on how to pare down the memory requirements for PC-NFS so that I can run another application concurrently which also takes a lot of memory. My configuration is the following: I have PC-NFS running on an an IBM-AT (with 640K of memory) with a 3Com 3C505 board. I also have a PCVISION Frame Grabber card, which is used to display 512x512 images on a monitor separate from the PC's EGA monitor. With PC-NFS loaded, I am able to load (medical) images into the PCVISION's display memory and have the images displayed. I do this using my own programs that are written in C. The problem arises when I try to use the ImagePro software package to load the same images -- it can't complete the operation and says that there is "Insufficient Memory" and "Memory is Full". Is there anyone out there who has tried to do this or something similar? The two software packages work fine on separate machines -- I've been pleased with both; but, when loaded together on the same PC, they run out of room. I would appreciate any help offered in solving this. Thanks. Please respond directly to me at address below as I am not a subscriber to this digest. Marcus Glenn (703) 883-5386 glenn@mwunix.mitre.org
