Has anyone ever seen a TCP/IP system ( FTP and TELNET ) that runs under Novell using IBM PC NET ADAPTERS. The boards were made by Sytek for IBM. I have looked at NCSA, but it doesn't appear to have that board listed. Should I be looking for anything that runs under Novell? Is the board important? The server will have an ethernet card in it as well as an IBM board. The server will operate as a gateway into IP. Has anyone else done this? mbramwel@uwo.ca

Sytek sells a version of our PC/TCP product that runs on broadband cards they supply, and because it uses the Packet Driver, it co-exists with Netware just fine. Talk to your Sytek salesman. Depending on how they sell it, you might be able to use one of the public-domain TCP/IP packages instead of PC/TCP, also... James VanBokkelen FTP Software Inc.

Wollongong's TCP/IP package works over any board Novell supports (We have tested the IBM PC NET ADAPTERS in house) on the workstation. The IP router's ethernet board does matter and must be one of the many ethernet boards (such as the 3c503) that Wollongong supports. Interlan's TCP/IP for Netware product also doesn't care what boards are on the Novell side of the network, however the gateway board must be Interlan's NP600G. leo j mclaughlin iii The Wollongong Group ljm@twg.com
