In my earlier posting, I forgot to add one important question: - is there any way of persuading the PC Telnet program to accept accented characters from the keyboard? Using the normal PC methods (alt-plus-numeric keypad) doesn't work, and neither does loading a foreign keyboard. Or is this just another case of a program carelessly assuming that everyone on the planet writes only with unaccented characters? -Michael Sperberg-McQueen, University of Illinois at Chicago
