CALIFFM@BAYLOR.BITNET (Michael Califf) (01/27/89)
I just "retired" an ethernet bridge, and discovered two Western Digital cards inside of it. I would like to use them in a couple of PC's, but I do not have documentation for them, and they are slightly different (larger, more jumpers) from a WD8003E. Anyone have any docs, or know where to contact Western Digital? I would like to use them with either Stanford or NCSA Telnet if it is possible, although I might be able to purchase a commercial package if I need to. The WD8003EBT is only different in that it has a boot ROM socket. We have several here, and PC/TCP definitely runs on them. I can't find either the EBT versions of the manuals or the cards themselves, so they must be active in machines right now. As far as I know, the extra jumpers are only concerned with the Boot ROM base address. James VanBokkelen FTP Software Inc.
