[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] more ethernet cards

ddp+@ANDREW.CMU.EDU (Drew Daniel Perkins) (02/22/89)

There is a pretty good chart of current ethernet cards/manufactures in the March
issue of LAN magazine. They seem to have gotten the large majority of cards
that I know about. The chart includes: manufacturer, models, comptuer type (XT,
AT, MAC, etc), available drivers (NetWare, TCP/IP, DECnet, etc.), bus size, ram
buffer size, host ram access (shared mem, dma, etc.), availability date, price,
and a few others. My two gripes are 1: the models list doesn't include model
numbers only names. I.e. 3com Etherlink II instead of 3c503 (?). I don't know
the names, only the numbers.... Also, the driver availability list isn't
complete. FTP Software is only listed for BICC cards, TWG isn't listed, etc.
