[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] Excelan and link-level access

Do you have experience with Excelan's 205E board, TCP/IP
software and link-level access?

The Situation:
-------------
I have a PC that will talk to two nodes simultaneously.
The PC will talk with one node via TCP/IP. It will talk
to the other node via Ethernet frames because that is all
that is available: call this protocol X.

The PC is using Excelan's 205E board and TCP/IP software.

The Algorithm:
-------------
1. Read 4 Ethernet frames (protocol X) and build a
4KB block to send via TCP/IP.

2. Send ack to sender of Ethernet frames (sender can now send another
four frames and then wait for ACK).

3. Send 4KB block via TCP/IP. Wait for ACK.

4. Repeat 1 - 3.

The Problem:
------------
Ethernet frames for protocol X are disappearing.
Why? The 205E board has 256KB RAM. Only a small part
of the RAM is used by the software leaving a lot
of buffer space.

(Yes, I asked Excelan. Now I am asking the "net" experts.)
