[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] E-net cards for IBM TCP

Seto@UNCAMULT.BITNET (Tom Seto) (04/25/89)

After reading Jerry Bryan's and James VanBokkelan's reply regarding MCA
cards for PS/2's, does ANYONE know of any other card other the the UB to
work on IBM's TCP for PS/2??? Also, does anyone know which cards they
run on when trying to run that same software on an AT or XT bus machine?
Thanks.

Someone at UMD could probably answer this better, but I'll try: The U-B
NIC/PS2 is the card IBM OEMs for the Microchannel, so it is the only one
they've taken the trouble to support (as far as I know). On the PC/AT bus,
I think that the first IBM release supported the original PC-IP drivers
(3C501, NI5010 and P1300), and the UMD people may have added the U-B PC-NIC,
and possibly the 3C503.
