I am using NCSA Telnet V2.2D and 2.2TN downloaded from the Clarkson archive-server. In CONFIG.TEL, you can specify "myip=rarp" and have NCSA do a Reverse ARP to determine the IP address from its ethernet address. We have a SunOS4 machine doing RARPD service. The problem is, this doesn't seem to work when "hardware=packet" in CONFIG.TEL - namely NCSA is using the TSR packet driver. I tried this with 3C503 and NI5210 packet drivers on two machines. It DOES work when using a direct interface, as "hardware=ni5210". Is this a bug (heavens, no!)? Also, what servers support BOOTP? Is it available for SunOS4? Is this something developed for NCSA. I haven't seen it before. -- -- Glen M. Marianko, Supervisor of Data Communications and Hardware Support glen@aecom.yu.edu - {uunet}!aecom!glen - CIS: 76247,450
