[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] 1. pcnfsd; 2. NFS

DOCTOR@MTUS5.BITNET (Tony Dal Santo) (07/20/89)

I was curious if anyone out there has the pcnfs daemon working on an IBM
43xx running CMS. Both Sun's PC-NFS and FTP's Interdrive try to communicate
with this daemon.

I was also wondering if there is a public domain implementation of NFS
around. If not, where can I get the specs for it?

Thanks,

No. The problem is that the MS-LOSS filesystem is so confused that mapping
the NFS semantics into DOS's are difficult. People who solve this difficult
problem wish to be rewarded with money. Lots of money.
