For those PCs directly connected to the ethernet you can use a shared driver
that supports both IP and IPX -- a number of products can do this.

First, the FTP packet driver specification is an network interface driver
specification supported (but not necessarily used) by FTP software, NCSA,
and Wollongong. Brigham Young University has developed a shared IPX/IP
driver for the WD8003 board which conforms to the specification. I do
not know if it also supports the Western Digital microchannel board.

Second, Wollongong sells a TCP/IP product which contains shared drivers for
the Western Digital (AT and Microchannel) and Novell NE1000A cards. These
drivers do not require that your Novell network be ECONFIGed.

Third, Excelan sells their own product which supports both IPX and IP.
However, it only runs on their own board.

For those PCs on a Novell ARCnet network you have two options.

First, Wollongong provides IP over NetBIOS and IP over IPX drivers so that
any existing LAN workstation can be a full TCP/IP host by means of a PC-based
IP router. Connectivity to the file server can be provided by an FTP daemon
on the IP router.

Second, Interlan sells a TCP/IP gateway product which sits in the file server
and provides limited ARPA services to the workstations on that Novell network.
