1) Is there a version of telnet (either public domain or for sale) that allows you to use your own emulator instead of the usual vtxxx? We need to use the TERM emulator program to emulate an SCO console from an IBM PC and would like to go through telnet (via ethernet). 2) We also need to do the same thing via a micom/interlan gateway from a novell network to Xenix. It is my understand that TERM actually does support this. Has anyone tried it? Thanks for any help. Either post or email. Mark Citron citron@csvax.caltech.edu citron@cit-vax.caltech.UUCP

You can plug an emulator over it. I'm not sure about TERM, but the technical institute in town is running a TEK 41xx emulator (written by TEKPOINT I believe) on top of Minitel quite successfully. (I was in contact with the system manager there when they started this, and except for having to get a driver for their boards, there was no trouble getting started.) Ian.
