[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] And yet more NCSA Telnet V2.3beta and 3C503 questions

Hello once again all ...

I have NCSA Telnet V2.3beta working wonderfully with the packet
driver mode and a 3C503 card. The only thing I could want now is to
have an FTP client for my PC. I tried porting the ftpbin.exe from
zaphod, but it doesn't work (it just hangs) - I think that's for V2.2
but my understanding is that V2.2 could use the packet driver mode,
effectively "hiding" the Ethernet card type from the FTP client, but
this doesn't seem true (the telbin.exe from the same directory also
hangs ...). Is there an FTP client out there I can use with V2.3 and
a 3C503 card in packet driver mode? While I am at it, has anyone in the
public domain setup SMTP and a mailer on a PC? I would also be interested
in any leads on this ...

Thanks one and all for any and all assistance on this one.

Cheers,

You are using the wrong FTPBIN obviously. The 2.2 version fron NCSA did
not support packet-driver, those changes were made, I think, by Clarkson
University. You should find what you want on grape.ecs.clarkson.edu.
