I got the following request for info from a friend in India. Any help would be deeply appreciated. Please *EMAIL* me at: raja%frith.egr.msu.edu@uunet.uu.net Thanks in advance! Narayan Sriranga Raja. ----------------------------------------------------------------- *EMAIL FROM INDIA BEGINS* We would like to know if there is anybody on the nets using TCP/IP for PCs (basically telnet) to access CDC's Cyber 180/840 running NOS/VE and TCP Gateway in one of its Device Interfaces(DI). We are using the CMU's version of MIT PCIP available in public domain. We have some problems in using the package in that when telnet application first opens TCP connection to the remote, it times out and tries 8times before closing and coming out. We use Interlan 5010 Card and the compatible driver; I do not suspect the driver because it works fine with a Vax 8600 running Ultrix. If there is anyone using PCs to telnet to a Cyber host (s)he would be the most useful contact in this regard. Thanks Much: ---Murthy. -----------------------------------------------------------------
