Is there a NEWS reader that runs on MS DOS computers? Will it use packet driver spec interfaces?

The PC/IP distribution available by anonymous ftp from husc6.harvard.edu (128.103.1.56) in pub/pcip includes a simple nntp news reader. It includes a packet driver interface. It turns out the pcip packet driver support only knows about Ethernet. I've ported RED (the simple nntp new reader Dan mentions) to run on top of NOS (using Russ Nelson's patches). Has anyone successfully gotten pcrrn to run on top of a packet driver? -- Bernie Roehl, University of Waterloo Electrical Engineering Dept Mail: broehl@watserv1.waterloo.edu OR broehl@watserv1.UWaterloo.ca BangPath: {allegra,decvax,utzoo,clyde}!watmath!watserv1!broehl Voice: (519) 747-5056 [home] (519) 885-1211 x 2607 [work]
