[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] connecting 2 ethernet LANS thru a SLIP link using PC-route

chan@eeserv.ee.umanitoba.ca (Andrew Chan) (03/21/90)

I wonder if we can run a 56K bps (9600 bps is almost useless) SLIP link
between 2 PC-routers? Or is there any cheap alternative to tie two ethernet
(far away) LAN's together?

By the way, is it possible to modify the SLIP code of PC-route to use
compressed SLIP?
