I have decided to use open beta testing of release 6.x of the Clarkson
packet drivers. I must insist upon two things if you fetch a copy of these:

     1) Send me a report of your testing. Does it work or not?
     2) Fetch a copy of the actual release when it is ready.

I have a little procedure on grape that keeps track of programs download
from grape. Every morning it sends me the 20 most popular files. Here's
an excerpt from today's message:

Subject: 20 most populars on grape

   ...
   57 driverss.arc
   ...
   77 drivers.arc
   ...

To date I have only gotten two (2) (a pair) (two singletons) reports. Where
are the 75 other reports???!@?!???!!!!???????

C'mon, guys and gals, get with the program here. Do the drivers work or not?
Do I need to post the hostnames of the guilty parties?

Violence never solves problems, it just changes them into more subtle problems
Clarkson will be featured on PBS's Computer Chronicles next week. I'm the dude
with the camcorder taking digital portraits.
