[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] PD TCP/IP with NDIS drivers

bill@polygen.uucp (Bill Poitras) (04/08/90)

Does anyone know how to use any of the public domain tcp/ip packages, ie.
NCSA Telnet/FTP, KA9Q, PCIP using the NDIS driver supplied by FTP software.
The NDIS driver is used instead of a normal packet driver when using PC/TCP
for DOS. One board that uses this is the Excelan 205 Intelligent Ethernet
Controller. When I try to run NCSA Telnet with the NDIS driver loaded, NCSA
Telnet does the search for the packet driver, and find the NDIS driver, but
for some reason, searches for and finds it again, then it displays some error
messages. I am very interested in this, because this means that I can use
a wide variety of Network packages with the Excelan board. Thanks in advance.
