I am sure that this has been beaten to death in this news group, but I have not
been getting news here for long enough to have seen it before.
Here is my problem:
Corporate network of IBM PCs with arcnet based Novell netware.
Development network of UNIX hosts (Suns and DG AViiONs) with
thin ethernet.
My job:
Connect the two networks so that the users on the PC network
can exchange e-mail with the UNIX users and the
outside world.
Now...
Would it be better to use a package like UUPC and get a serial
connection to one of the UNIX hosts from a dedicated PC; OR,
use ka9q (with packet driver) on one of the PCs and use that
for SMTP mail transfer.
Can the arcnet Novell driver co-exist with a packet driver?
Any help that anyone could give me would be much appreciated.
Please followup to me (I read this group religiously, but don't think everyone
would be interested in the answers...)
