[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] PCROUTER Files

SCOTT@WMVM1.CC.WM.EDU (Scott Fenstermacher) (06/30/90)

I have 2 questions.

1. Somewhere I saw a program on setting up your own router from a PC. Now
I can't find it. Does anyone know where I can get this file. It was
called PCROUTE something or other. Any Help would be appreciated.

2. Is there a PING program available in the public domain? If so
   where can I get it?

Scott

Fetch sun.soe.clarkson.edu:/pub/ka9q/pcippkt.arc. You'll also need
sun.soe.clarkson.edu:/pub/ka9q/drivers.arc, which are the Clarkson collection
of packet drivers.

You'll find pcroute at accuvax.nwu.edu in pub/pcroute. Currently it only
works with WD cards but I understand a packet driver version is coming.

Another way of doing it is with ka9q tcp-ip, it supports routing and the
packet drivers (but I don't remember where it is).
