I'd like to determine whether the following three user commands are provided by the vast majority of FTP client programs: OPEN -Establish a connection to the specified host FTP server. VERBOSE -Toggle verbose mode. Among other things, "on" displays FTP reply codes. Example reply codes visible with verbose mode on are: 220 Service ready 331 User name ready 230 User logged in 450 Access denied QUOTE -Send the arguments specified verbatim to the remote FTP server. Can you help me out and let me know whether or not the package(s) you know about provide these three functions? Please respond via email to me directly, indicating: 1. Name of the ftp software package 2. Operating system on which it runs. 3. Whether your implementation provides these functions, but uses different command names. Thank you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joshua L Mindel, Senior Analyst Internet: mindel%netwrx1@uunet.uu.net NetWorks One Usenet: uunet!netwrx1!mindel Vienna, Virginia USA Phone: (703) 827-7767 -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joshua L Mindel, Senior Analyst Internet: mindel%netwrx1@uunet.uu.net NetWorks One Usenet: uunet!netwrx1!mindel Vienna, Virginia USA Phone: (703) 827-7767
