A faculty member here using v2.2 of the ncsa package has been experiencing occasional hangs when using ftp. Basically, the system just freezes in the middle of the ftp session and resetting it is the only thing that will get the system back. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a fix for this problem? On a different topic, is rdump available from anywhere using the ncsa package. We would like to allow faculty a way of backing up their pc. I've tried the rdump from FTP and that seems to work well, but would like to be able to rdump without purchasin the ftp package. thanks in advance jack suess
