[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] Netwatch and PC/IP ver 9.6 available

Just a brief word to let those people interested in Netwatch for the
PC/IP package know that
	a) max packet length visible is now bumped up to 1520 bytes
	b) several more protocol "types" are available by name
	c) all the source and .LIB and .EXE files are packaged into a single
new archive, as version 9.6 (up from 9.5), available on netlab.usu.edu,
129.123.1.11, in directory [anonymous.netwatch]. It's a VMS machine so do
cd [.netwatch] with the brackets and the dot.

I currently have a version of netwatch (9.5) that is compiled for the 3c501
which I have in my xt (slow). I just pulled 9.6 executable and started the
packet driver on my xt. I started netwatch and it appears to work.
I see packets being displayed. However, I most often set a a filter to
only capture IP packets. When I do this (T IP) it does not capture
any packets (which there are lots of on the wire). I did a T and then ?
just to make sure IP is still listed and it is. Is this a problem
with netwatch? Could it be the packet driver -- ncsa works over this same
driver. It is version 5.0.
I would really like to able to run netwatch on some of my other faster
machines.

Appreciate any help.

Jim
