The overwhelming response I have received about the keyboard mapping in NCSA Telnet 2.3b* is that it basicly sucks. Most people would like to have keyboard re-mapping similar to the way Kermit allows re-mapping of keys to any arbitrary string. I am in the process of adding this feature to replace my abortive earlier attempt at keyboard re-mapping. I plan on making the keyboard re-mapping fully compatible with Kermit re-mapping files so people will not have to change them to work with NCSA Telnet. If anyone has other ideas for changing the Kermit format of re-mapping, i.e. set f1="string" Please drop me a line at: koziol@ncsa.uiuc.edu Thanks for the bandwidth and the suggestions, Quincey Koziol Programmer NCSA P.S. In response to the original note, NCSA Telnet 2.3b(8,9) allow the use of the shifted f11 & f12 keys as macro keys also, but I couldn't find a good re-mapping for f11 & f12, so I just left them alone.
