[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] NCSA Telnet and Gateway G/Ethernet card

desh@watserv1.waterloo.edu (Desh D. Sharma) (08/08/90)

Hi,
Has anyone been successful at getting the Gateway G/Ethernet card (packet
driver, of course) to work with either NCSA, or Clarkson's TCP/IP products?
I have been able to make it work with KA9Q, but it just refuses to work with
NCSA or Clarkson products. As far as I know the packet drivers are supposed
to be class 1, but not having source for them I wouldn't know. They were
ftp'd from FTP Software's collection of publically accessible drivers
collection.
If anyone has any ideas, or possible things to try please let me know. I
would hate to be stuck with KA9Q forever!

   Thanks in advance.

The Gateway packet driver is class 1. It works with our PC/TCP; I'm not
sure they tested it with any of the public domain packages. I assume
you've read the readme file, and have the correct driver for your machine
type?
