I have a user request to use either NCSA Telnet or Hughes LAN Systems LINC/TCP v.2.03 (FTP's PC/TCP) with a DEPCA card. Neither NCSA Telnet nor the packet driver collection support this card. Any tricky (or, heaven forbid, straightforward) way to do this?? Thanks for any suggestions. ctw@aerospace.aero.org

I don't know what portion of our product line is used in LINC/TCP, but we do have a PC/TCP package that runs over DEPCA cards via DLL. Check with Hughes to see if they can supply you with this. I haven't gotten the technical documentation, nor do I have a card. I do,
however, appreciate the large demand for a DEPCA driver. I have also
*finally* found the right people at DEC to talk to, and they seem eager
to help. They were supposed to call me back, but I think my phone's
been screwed up most of this week, so it's time to call them...

They'll be providing it in their next release of PCSA (Lan Manager over DECnet). They are planning to release it in December. ... ProLINC's TCP, which effectively replaces LINC/TCP, supports NDIS. When DEC introduces their NDIS driver for the DEPCA card, ProLINC's TCP should work with it. Nestor. -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Nestor A.
