Greetings everyone! I have recently put inplace an ethernet to arcnet router using ka9q and the IPXPKT and 3C503 packet drivers. My question is: What routing do I have to setup to allow Arcnet host 'A1' to talk to Ethernet host 'E1' without having to telnet to Router 'RO' first? +----+ +----+ +----+ +----+ +----+ | A1 | | A2 | | RO | | E1 | | En | | | | | | | | | | | +----+ +----+ +----+ +----+ +----+ \ | / | | | \ +-+ / +--------------- ... ------+ -----|H|----/ +-+ On 'RO' I have interfaces 'nv0' and 'et0' (novell and ethernet) which have the following configurations: et0 IP addr 192.9.200.50 MTU 1024 Link encap Ethernet Link addr 02:60:8c:94:64:27 flags 0 trace 0x0 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.9.200.255 sent: ip 421 tot 423 recv: ip 11206 tot 20467 nv0 IP addr 192.9.201.1 MTU 1024 Link encap Ethernet Link addr 00:00:00:00:00:bb flags 0 trace 0x0 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.9.201.255 sent: ip 442 tot 453 recv: ip 487 tot 548 My routes are setup as shown: Dest Len Interface Gateway Metric P Timer Use 192.9.201.255 32 nv0 1 P 0 0 192.9.200.255 32 et0 1 P 0 0 192.9.200.0 24 et0 1 0 423 192.9.201.0 24 nv0 1 0 442 default 0 et0 1 0 0 I have published the arp addresses for the hosts on the arcnet, and have setup the routes on the unix side to route everything for net 192.9.201 to the pc... Any ideas on why I can't telnet directly from A1 to E1? Thanks, -abc -- Alan B.
