[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] Disabling packet PC/NFS to run other packet applications

etb@pitt.UUCP (Elmer Beachley) (11/06/90)

I realize that PC/NFS configured to use a packet driver cannot co-exist with
another TCP/IP packet application, but can you disable it, and THEN run another
packet application, say KA9Q?
What I have tried (and what doesn't work) is dismounting the NFS file systems
and printers, and doing a 'net stop rdr'.
What does work is re-booting without pc/nfs drivers loaded in config.sys,
but this is VERY inconvenient.
Any help or advice would be appreciated. Just post to the net, please.
