There are two versions of bootpd at lancaster.andrew.cmu.edu.

The first copy I got was from separate sources from the directory /bootp.
This one is marked as version 2.1 in the version.c file and dumps core on
the Sun (as described above).

The other is in a tar saveset in /pub/bootp.2.1.tar (or .tar.Z), is marked
as version 2.1a in the version.c file, and WORKS GREAT ON THE SUN!

There's nothing in the README and announce files that claim any differences
between these two versions, so if you fetch the software make sure you get
the tar saveset from the /pub directory.

Many thanks to jstewart@ccs.carleton.ca for his "it works great for me"
letter, without which I probably would have spent a lot of time debugging
an obsolete version instead of going back to check what I overlooked.
