[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] Network File Systems

KDICKEY@GMRCMSA (12/08/90)

We have some people here who have begun to look at various DOS based
network file systems to support a number of Ethernet attached PS/2s.
For example, IBM's OS/2 Lan Server is one of them. In addition, the
PS/2s will be running FTP Inc.'s PC/TCP. What I'd like see, is an
implementation using Interdrive's NFS. However, they tell me that OS/2
Lan Server has some nice librarian type features in which you can put
a DOS application on the server and limit the number of concurrent
users accessing it through a "check out" mechanism. Does anyone have
something similar to this that runs on a Unix platform and uses NFS?
