There are a lot of client programs for the Macintosh that will "talk" POP2, POP3 and IMAP. But so far I've only found ONE for the PC. Package Protocol Vendor POPMail POP2 Univ Minnesota If any one knows of any others - particularly public domain or shareware - PLEASE email me the info. I WILL summarize responses Thanks in advance George -- _______________________________________________________________________________ George Headley Office: (608) 262-7240 Technical Support Consultant Academic Computing Center Internet: headley@macc.wisc.edu University of Wisconsin - Madison Bitnet: headley@wiscmacc.bitnet

The MD-DOSIP package uses POP2 to retrieve mail from Unix or OS/2 hosts. It uses SMTP to transmit mail. I've seen a POP3 client for the PC/IP code. Joe Herman U. of Md.
