[net.news.group] 'net.motss' article posted to 'net.singles'

dyer@wivax.UUCP (Stephen Dyer) (09/21/83)

For those of you living under a rock, there's been a fairly lively
discussion regarding the formation of 'net.motss' in 'net.news.group'.
I am sending this to 'net.singles' because the discussion started here.
This is a message to all out there who favor the formation of the
group (and who haven't answered before) to post your indication to me
through UUCP mail-- I will forward a count to Mark Horton in a week or
so. The publically posted responses have been few, perhaps understandably.
However, forming this group is going to require quite a few more 'yea'
votes than 'net.micro.6809' ever did, so respond in the affirmative,
or see the proposal die, quite rightly. One point that hasn't been
decided is whether the group should be moderated and whether pathname
info should be included. So, speak up on that at the same time.

Those who would not carry the group because of management issues
should send a message to Mark Horton. Those who just want to rave
about the coming downfall of Western society should mail to /dev/null.
This is a poll of interested parties, NOT a discussion of the existence
of the group (which you can continue, if you must, in 'net.news.group'.)
