[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] TCP/IP over IBM Token Ring

j3gum@vax1.mankato.msus.edu (01/13/91)

Hello,

First I'll apoligize in advance. I'm new to this newsgroup and can't be
sure if this question has been asked before or not; so sorry if it has.

Simply are there any TCP/IP (specifically FTP and/or Telnet) implementations
over IBM Token Ring? If there are where would I find this allusive animal?

                                  Thanks,

                                  Jeffrey E. Hundstad

I went through this loop a while back ...

I have found the following things to work:

1. IBM's TCP/IP for DOS (commercial)

2. NCSA Telnet with the IBMTOKEN packet driver (from your local NCSA archive)

3. CUTCP with the IBMTOKEN packet driver (from omnigate.clarkson.edu)

4. PC/IP (from I can't remember where)

I have had some difficulties with POP mailers ...
