[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] problems with key bindings and NCSA Telnet

michael@nsma.arizona.EDU (Michael Williams) (01/26/91)

Earlier I had posted a problem that my key bindings were not working
from the file TELNET.KEY (using keyfile="..."). Thanks to the
responses, but what I found was that the file .was. being accessed
properly, and was functioning correctly. The keyboards that I am
using, however, don't have arrow keys in addition to those on the
numerical keypad. I was expecting the keypad arrows (on 2,4,6, and 8)
to function as VT100 arrows, but these were being remapped to the
VT100 function keypad.

For those of you with only said arrow keys, remember to override
those bindings to the \Kuparr, \Kdnarr, \Krtarr, and \Klfarr
(bound in the section immediately above the numerical keypad section).

Thanks for the help!
-Michael
