We have tried the 3C505 PD using the Novell -n flag on a couple of machines and find the Novell functionality too slow to be useful. Like minutes to log onto a fileserver. Is this ... a well known problem? ... an error in something we're doing? ... correctable?? Thanks for any help. -chas *** Charles T. I've noticed that the 3c505 packet driver is pretty slow also, when doing FTP transfers over a TCP/IP with the NCSA Telnet package: it can send or receive at about 3 Kb./sec., which is about one fifth what I've seen this very same PC hardware do when using Sun's PC-NFS filesystem and driver software.
