[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] X-windows on pc's

DMPM@DUKEMC.BITNET (James Dryfoos- PostMaster) (02/12/91)

I am interested in running x-windows on a pc
using both an ethernet card at work and
a 9600 baud dial up line from home.

I am interested in all recommendations and evaluations.
I currently use vax-vms machines for x clients and servers.
I use NCSA and CUTCP tcp/ip for the pc's that are ethernet connected.
I have yet to try to connect a tcp/ip session over a 9600 dial up.

Any related info such as running slip over 9600 dial up would
also be appreciated.

Any help and suggestions greatly appreciated. If you send stuff to me
directly I will be willing to compile a list of info and send it back
to the entire list.

Jim
