[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] PC-NFS compatibility with NDIS

rjberke@skvax1.csc.ti.com (Richard Berke - TI Data Communications) (03/05/91)

Has anyone been successful in using the NDIS compatibility module
NFS-NDIS.SYS with any other running protocol concurrently?

I can get PC-NFS up on NDIS only as long as it's the only protocol
active for PROTMAN.DOS to be managing. ANY additional protocol,
even with another ethernet board in my PC for its exclusive use,
causes PC-NFS to have trouble. The other protocols (XNS, NBP, or even
a second TCP/IP stack) don't have difficulty with NFS-NDIS.SYS being loaded.

I don't get any problem at NETBIND. I see no other 'red-flags' until I
try to begin NFSRUN. When NFSRUN begins, I get a warning that I haven't
run LANMAN NETBIND. This is despite the successful running of NETBIND
withour any errors reported, and the successful use of other protocol
based products.

I have tried all permutations of which gets loaded first. No improvement.

Anyone with suggestions, please post them here on the PCIP board.

Thanks,
