I understand TCP/IP and Netware single-adapter coexistence on ethernet fairly well. However, several people have asked me how to get the same thing for Token-Ring or Arcnet. LAN Workplace for DOS 4.0 does this via ODI. Are there NDIS and/or PDS solutions as well? Presumably, I need an IPX driver for T-R or Arcnet similar to the BYU ethernet IPX. Also, if the TCP/IP host is on an ethernet network, I need a Netware - or other - router. I can't figure out what the IBMTOKEN and IPXPKT packet drivers buy me. Thanks for any help, clarification. -- David Cohen | "Wait! I've got it! Feed the tuna glv!dave@dg-rtp.dg.com | fish mayonnaise!" Global Logistics Venture, Cary,NC| - Michael Keaton, Night Shift

Running Netware and TCP/IP over Token Ring is easy! Just use the IBM ASI driver (TOKREUI or the newer LAN Support Program) versions of the packages. The ASI driver will take care of the demuxing, and the shell you get from Novell (for ASI) will be fine. Since the packets are standard, you don't have to alter them for the TCP/IP package. It's much less complicated than for ethernet. For Arcnet, I can't help. I believe we only run on it in a Banyan Vines encapsulation.
