In WD8003E.INC 2.2, try commenting out: ;; AMP: next line caused Ethercard PLUS Elite error ;; WRITE_PORT_in_AL_const_AX_BX_CX_BP_SI_DI_ES LAAR, wde_&name&_io and recompile. Dunno in exactly what computer/card combination this applies, but it solved my problem of that card in an XT. Vance says it's related to some cards requiring to be programmed for 16 bits explicitly. So, do not if not required, I guess. Thanks to Vance for guessing this in minutes.
