[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc] Anyone ever heard of Intel PC Link2 card or MSNET? Help!

cornhead@sutro.SFSU.EDU (Jeffrey C. Miller) (05/08/91)

I want to be able to read MS-DOS files into my Sun, mostly so I can use
my AT's disk drive to read programs and data into the Sun to use under PC DOS.

I am not sure where to begin. Especially since I have this odd-ball
ethernet adaptor. If anyone has any experience with the PC Link2 card I
would like to hear from him or her. Can I get a packet driver for it and
use the Clarkson software?

Thanks.

You're in luck! The Intel PC Link2 card comes (or is supposed to come)
with a packet driver from the manufacturer. (I wonder: Is this card
related to the HP PC Link II?) You can use NFS packages from FTP Software,
Sun Microsystems, Beame & Whiteside and Wollongong over packet drivers.
Your choice in TCP/IP without NFS (there aren't any free NFS clients, yet)
is even wider.
